Breast Reduction

Breast reduction operation is a plastic surgery that reduces the size and weight of large and heavy breasts, creating more aesthetically pleasing, more suitable lines for the patient's body.

Success in Breast Reduction

By removing excess breast tissue, fat and sagging taut skin, the surgeon not only makes the breasts smaller, lighter and firmer, but also corrects breast asymmetry and sagging. While many patients have breast reduction surgery to get rid of physical problems such as back, neck and shoulder pain, the aesthetic benefits of the operation are just as important.

How is Breast Reduction Surgery Performed?

There are different techniques that can be used to reduce your breasts. In breast reduction surgery, excess skin, fat and glandular tissue are removed through incisions created on the breasts. Excess fat can also be removed through liposuction as well as different excision techniques.

What Results Should Be Expected?

The result of the breast reduction surgery will be permanent unless the patient gains/loses significant weight and become pregnant. Weight gain/loss or pregnancy will not completely eliminate the result of the surgery, but it may change the appearance of the breasts.

It is normal for the incision areas to be red and/or pink immediately after the surgery. These incisions will heal over time and the scars will gradually lighten. However, the scars will never disappear completely.
